My Experience (details below) - INSTEAD OF SAVING TAXES, I WAS TOLD TO PAY MORE TAXES - INVOICING THOUSANDS HIGHER THAN QUOTED - RECEIVED CRA COLLECTION CALL - DID NOT COMPLETE WORK CHARGED FOR I have been a client of Dube & Cuttini for 4-5 years. When I first joined the service was good, however in recent years what was once a good accounting firm has just been a continuous downhill struggle on the basics. INVOICING THOUSANDS HIGHER THAN QUOTED - Quoted $500-$800, which was agreed upon, however when the work was completed I was sent an invoice for $3,816.25. That is over $3,000 more than originally quoted. INSTEAD OF SAVING TAXES, I WAS TOLD TO PAY MORE TAXES - Dube & Cuttini incorrectly charged HST on worldwide sales, not just in Canada. This error could have cost my firm thousands extra in taxes. I did notice this and corrected it. RECEIVED CRA COLLECTION CALL - I got a call from CRA collections department that I had 30 days to file since my taxes were not filed from a couple years earlier. Dube & Cuttini had invoiced me for the taxes and I had paid for the services that were never completed. They refunded after a struggle which they said “In Good Faith will refund it”, I am confused on what good faith on this. DID NOT COMPLETE WORK CHARGED FOR - Dube & Cuttini did not complete my 2012 personal taxes for my wife and I, however they did invoice us and we paid it. These are only some of the issues I had with Dube & Cuttini. I wish I had a better quality experience however under their professional appearance, it was a painful experience. I even gave them a second chance given the good service I received in the earlier years of the relationship and I understand that mistakes happens (THIS was my mistake, I should have left Dube & Cuttini years earlier than I did) . I don’t want anyone to experience poor quality accounting and customer service as most of the issues noted above are basics of any service professional.
