As there were three brickmakers/bricklayers after 1835 I would think that this building was redone before 1837 as the bricks are not frogged.

This is the only accredited Zoo that is free of charge in North America so the treatment of animals and people must be the best in North America. It has a water park feature for kids, a scenic view platform, a special hospital for animals and to think it all started with 2 alligators that were given to the City of Peterborough by Florida officials.

Built by lumber barron Mossom Boyd mainly so his children could attend school in Peterborough, Ontario while he conducted business in Bobcaygeon, Ontario where he lived and business in Estavan, Saskatchewan and Albany, New York State. He supplied virgin timber to England and also had a vast ranch for cross breeding cattle out west in Canada. This house is on a website plus my places google maps.

It certainly needs some money in it to take it back to the 1840's to make it look like the hand made brick building it used to look like, let alone the log cabin that was struck by lightning and caught on fire before that that they held the first recorded Peterborough Church Meeting in.

Hope Sawmill is NOT in Peterborough but on the Keene Road just around five miles east of Peterborough in Peterborough County very close to Lang Century Village. When running it is worth seeing all the work the volunteers put into it to restore and get it running once more!
