- PRK laser treatment involves the same laser correction procedure as LASIK, with the exception that the surgeon does not cut a flap in the cornea. Instead, the thin outermost layer of the cornea is safely removed while the underlying corneal tissue is reshaped with the laser. The microscopic re-contouring of the corneal surface improves the way light is refracted, or focused, by the eye.
Blade-free LASIK with Femtosecond laser technology is the first "all laser" LASIK procedure. Traditional LASIK utilizes both a finely-focused laser and a metal blade to accomplish vision correction. The blade, or microkeratome, used to be the only means of creating a flap in the cornea. At his Toronto centre, Dr. Rootman performs laser eye surgery using blade free Femtosecond laser LASIK for the safest vision correction.
At Yonge Eglinton Cosmetic Centre, the BOTOX® Cosmetic treatment is performed by a medically trained surgeon. At your first appointment, we will schedule a consultation with the surgeon to confirm that you are a good candidate for the treatment. Once that is determined, we will proceed with the injections.
