With an abundance of marine species you'll find British Columbia can offer just as much underwater color and life as many tropical destinations. Some of the marine species you can see while scuba diving in British Columbia include sea lions, giant pacific octopus, wolf eels, dozens of species of rockfish, grunt sculpins, plumose anemones, herring schools, anchovie schools, dogfish, lumpsuckers, squid, puget sound king crabs, jellyfish, nudibranchs, and thousands of more species of invertebrates.
Some of the best shore diving sites are located on Vancouver Island with popular dive sites including Madrona Point, Ogden Point, Tyee Cove, Henderson Point, Oak Leaf Park, China Creek, and more.
If boat diving is your thing there are numerous artificial reefs and wrecks to dive such as the HMCS Saskatchewan, The Rivtow Lion, the HMCS Annapolis, the HMCS Mackenzie, and more.
