Dr. Svoboda has placed and restored thousands of dental implants over 25 years, and has dedicated much of his current professional life to understanding the causes of prosthesis installation related peri-implant disease.
His research has led him to identify two root causes of treatment complications and to develop safer treatment approaches that are adaptive to both the screw-in and cementin installation techniques. This new information gives dentists new tools for preventing several installation related problems, including the dreaded implant-abutment misfit and the advent of residual subgingival cement. Dr Svoboda's enlightening presentation offers dentists many ways to make their implant treatment better than ever. Dr. Svoboda has presented his work across North America and has won multiple awards for his presentations. His prosthetic lecture is officially part of the AAID Maxicourse resource material for 10 programs worldwide and has been delivered by Dr. Svoboda in Toronto, Vancouver and Houston. He currently practices implant dentistry in his private practice, is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, an Honored Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology / Implant Dentistry.
