Gary Cowell first opened his converted eight service bay dealership on December 1, 1967. He had four employees, and within the first month had sold 2 new and 1 used vehicles. By 1972 Cowell Volkswagen had outgrown their original space, resulting Gary in purchasing the property next door – building a brand new location that housed not only Volkswagen, but also Audi and Porsche vehicles.
