Beware! Do not be misled by Dereck’s website, or membership in the Guild and choose his services as we did. "Bathroom Magician", have been very disrespectful in his attitude to us as his customers and failed to provide the services, which he advertises on his website, specifically, the quality of his work and guarantee on the work he was paid to do. We are in the process of filing complaints to appropriate agencies and we would like to make you aware of the problems we experienced. Specifically, we have hired "Bathroom Magician" company to refinish our shower room, starting with September 4th, 2012. After initial assessment and estimation, Dereck, the owner of the company, told us that he can refinish our shower room tiles, which would take care of the existing mould and wear. He also offered a 5-year guarantee, and his work for the shower room cost us $525 plus tax. However, in less than 3 months after he finished his work, we started noticing deterioration of the tiles grout, which quickly turned into black lines of mould all over the shower room. We called Dereck and sent him pictures, and he was very apologetic about it, saying that he is very sorry and he would need to redo the shower room again to get rid of the occurred problem with the grout. He said he would come to take a look at it by himself and he would call before he comes. He never called, never showed up. Eventually, we tried to reach him on his phone many times and left several voice mail messages. He did not respond to any of them. He only started to respond to text messages, when we mentioned that we would have to complain to the appropriate agencies. He said he would redo the shower and he would call my husband. He never called, and he is ignoring our phone calls, e-mails and text messages. Our shower room looks worse than ever right now, and we will have to find additional time and money to redo it completely. Such an attitude to the customer who trusted Bathroom Magician business should not be tolerated!
