Artistic Dance Scene strives to offer the very best in dance training while inspiring grace, confidence, self-respect, teamwork, and leadership. Students of all ages can learn new dance styles, master dance steps, burn energy, get a workout and share a sport with others. Artistic Dance Scene provides a fun, safe and rewarding environment for dancers to grow and shine as individuals. Students will come to think of the studio as their “second home” where they have the freedom to express themselves while creating friendships and learning skills that will last a lifetime.
We offer 3 programs: Recreational, Competitive (Part Time and Full Time) and Seasonal Sessions, as well as Summer Camps!
Recreational Program (Tiny and Pre-K Dance, Kinder Dance, Elementary & Teen Dance)
Classes range in length from 30 minutes to 45 minutes, depending on age. Recreational classes run from September to June.
Tiny Dance (ages 2-3) and Pre-K Dance (ages 3-4)
30-minute classes are an introduction to dance for our youngest dancers. Students will enjoy this upbeat class involving creative movement, basic ballet technique, songs and games. Pre-K is a continuation of our Tiny Dance program to prepare dancers for their graduation into the 4-6 age group of Recreational Classes. Tiny Dancers and Pre-K Dancers do not take part in the year-end recital; however, parents will be invited to sit in on the last class of the year to enjoy a special in-class performance by their little dancers.
Kinder Dance – ages 4 to 6 years old
These 45-minute classes continue to introduce dancers to the joys of dance. Dancers can choose from a variety of styles including Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop and Ballet/Jazz. Kinder Dance students take part in our year-end recital.
Elementary and Teen Dance – ages 7 years and up
While further developing the student’s technique, these 45-minute classes will also fuel their passion for dance. Classes are available in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop and Lyrical/Contemporary. Students in these classes also participate in our year-end recital.
Seasonal Sessions (ages 3-5)
For those of you with young ones who aren’t ready for a year-long commitment, our Seasonal Sessions may be the program you are looking for. Sessions run for 10 weeks, with a session in the Fall, Winter, and Spring. Classes are 45 minutes in length and dancers will learn the basics of Ballet and Jazz. Please see our registration page for more information on dates and pricing. *Please note* The Session program is a different program than the Recreational program and is only for ages 3-5. These classes run on Saturday mornings at 9:15-10:00 only.
Competitive
Looking for more intense training and more performance opportunities? The Artistic Dance Scene Competitive Company may be the right place for you. Part Time Competitive Dancers train between 3-6 hours per week depending on age. Full Time Competitive Dance train 7-15 hours per week depending on age and class choices. Ballet & Jazz are mandatory core classes for all age groups. Competitive dancers also train in Tap, Acro, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Contemporary and Conditioning. The Competitive Company travels to 4 competitions throughout the competitive season. If you are interested in joining our Competitive Team, please call to schedule an audition. Previous training is required.
